Nokia 3110 Evolve review – the eco-friendly mobile?

Nokia 3110 EvolveIs this the world’s most eco-friendly phone? Nokia today finally launched the Nokia 3110 Evolve – a product that will appeal to those of us hoping to reduce our ‘carbon footprint’ (not Americans or the Chinese then).

The Nokia 3110 Evolve is not yet on any contract deals and you can only order it direct through Nokia but you can use your Sim card if you currently use a Pay as you Go mobile.

Nokia 3110 Evolve Features and Specifications:

  • comes with a High Efficiency Mobile Phone Re-charger (specifically designed to stop drawing power once your mobile is fully charged)
  • a Stereo Headset supplied
  • the phone cover is created from > 50% renewable material
  • 3G capability
  • Bluetooth
  • MP3 player and FM radio
  • 1.3 Megapixel camera with 8x zoom

We like the look of this phone – its cute, its very responsive and it’s doing a little bit for the environment. Hopefully it won’t be too long before all mobiles come with these new ‘high efficiency chargers’.

The handset weighs only 87 grams and you can expand the memory using microSD cards.  Even the mobile phone box and package is made from over 60% recycled materials.

The new Nokia 3110 Evolve costs £149.99 and is available to purchase via the official Nokia store.
