The world’s first fully 3D smartphone, according to manufacturers LG, the Optimus Black will be unveiled at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on the 14th February.

The 3D LCD panel removes the need to wear 3D glasses, with separate layers on the screen displaying different images to either eye.  It will also be able to link via HDMI to High Definition TV’s and will stream video and content to computers and DLNA-supporting TV’s.

Details are thin on the ground, although the handset is believed to run using Google Android OS.  In the UK, Vodafone and 3 Mobile are likely to be the network carriers for the new device which is hoping for launch in the summer of 2011.
