The stylish metallic silver phone effect never ceases to impress us when a handset lands on our laps and the Sony Ericsson W880i which is flying off the shelves at 02 is no different.
There is just something about that brushed steel effect that makes us go all gooey inside.
This W880i Silver finish phone has bundles of talent – with full 3G capabilities, its another classic Sony Walkman based phone. It comes with a 1 Gigabyte memory card which is enough to hold a couple of films or around 25 music albums at high quality.
It is a measly 9.4mm thick which makes it…. Sony’s slimmest phone to date. It’s got Bluetooth so you can stream your music through your Bluetooth headset and it has a 2 Megapixel camera – a great addition in a Walkman phone.
The 3G enables video calls as well as lightning fast downloads and you can automatically upload the snaps you take to your online blog – no need to wait till you get home and download to your PC first.
You can expand the memory cards if you so desire but for a mobile phone we think 25 albums is a pretty enormous size already.
02 have some fantastic tariff’s available – on 12, 18 or even 24 months with masses of free calls and free texts. We can see this phone being ideal for the University student who not only will enjoy the Walkman capability on those walks/bus/train journeys in to lectures but with the masses of free texts with the network it should be easier to keep within your price plan.
